Peter completed his LLB (Hons) degree at Durham University (Trevelyan College) in 1994 before completion of his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York. He completed his training contract in Preston and qualified as a solicitor in 1998 before moving to north Nottinghamshire later that year. He has worked in North Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire since then and joined Jones and Co in 2024.
Peter has dealt exclusively with all kinds of family law issues since qualification and is a member of the Law Society Children Panel, which means he can represent children and adults in care proceedings and is an accredited specialist family lawyer with Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association). He deals with all areas of family law including divorce and separation, disputes about children and financial matters, and care proceedings.
